Outdoor entertaining often revolves around a patio table. Patio tables, along with chairs, enable you to spend quality time outdoors in your backyard or on your deck, whether you are barbequing, relaxing, or entertaining guests. Caring For Your Table

To extend the life of your patio table, move it indoors during long periods of non-use. For example, you might choose to put it in a basement or garage during the winter, along with your other garden furniture. If you are unable to move it inside, at least cover it with a tarp for added protection. Before putting it out again in the spring, be sure to replace any rusty bolts holding the furniture together. While the table is outdoors, clean it regularly with mild soap and water. 

Usually patio tables are made to withstand harsh weather conditions, but you should double-check before you buy. Outdoor tables are available in a variety of materials, such as wood, iron, teak, or plastic, all of which are most often treated to withstand rust, mildew, and other hazards to outdoor furniture.
